Our group of local residents was founded in November 2008 and has received two grants from PRINCE EDWARD/LENNOX & ADDINGTON COMMUNITY FUTURES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION for our revitalization efforts. Our initiatives include:
- creation of a bi-monthly newsletter/calender of events;
- plantings of shrubs, trees & flowers and the provision of seating areas along Main St.;
- design and installation of a historical plaque highlighing Newburgh's rich architectural heritage;
- development of a self-guided walking tour and brochure, showcasing the beauty and historic splendor of the hamlet.
Music in the Hollow is a fundraising initiative in support of the committee's continued revitalization efforts.
