About Rogues' Hollow Renewal Committee (RHRC)

The RHRC is a grassroots, not-for-profit group of volunteers who envision Newburgh (formally known as Rogues' Hollow) as an "economically and socially vibrant rural community recognized for its architectural significance and integrity."

Our group of local residents was founded in November 2008 and has received two grants from PRINCE EDWARD/LENNOX & ADDINGTON COMMUNITY FUTURES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION for our revitalization efforts. Our initiatives include:
  • creation of a bi-monthly newsletter/calender of events;
  • plantings of shrubs, trees & flowers and the provision of seating areas along Main St.;
  • design and installation of a historical plaque highlighing Newburgh's rich architectural heritage;
  • development of a self-guided walking tour and brochure, showcasing the beauty and historic splendor of the hamlet.
Plans are currently underway for the next phase of our efforts - designing and implementing welcoming gateway signage for Newburgh. We have employed a landscape architect to draft a plan for the entrance of our hamlet and look forward to realizing our vision in the near future.

Music in the Hollow is a fundraising initiative in support of the committee's continued revitalization efforts.
